This policy explains what information Aurax Technologies (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the StockSetu website at https://stocksetu.online and the StockSetu software (the “Service”), why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Two kinds of data
1. Your account data
When you sign up, contact us or pay, we collect your name, business name, mobile number, email address, GSTIN, billing address, login activity (time, IP address, browser) and payment records (amount, date, Razorpay payment ID). We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank login — Razorpay handles those.
2. Your business data
Everything you or your staff put into the Service — items, stock, customers, suppliers, invoices, payments, bills you scan, ledgers read from Tally — belongs to you. We process it only to run the Service for you, as your data processor. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it to advertise to you or your customers.
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account, including one-time sign-in codes by email.
- To provide the features you use: billing, stock, GST returns, Tally sync, WhatsApp messages, bill scanning.
- To take payments, issue invoices and keep accounting records the law requires.
- To answer your questions, help you set up, and tell you about changes to the Service or your package.
- To find and fix errors and protect the Service from misuse.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run StockSetu, each bound to use the data only for that purpose:
- Hosting provider — stores the database and files.
- Email provider — sends sign-in codes, invoices and notices.
- Razorpay — processes payments for packages.
- WhatsApp Business (Meta) — only if you switch on WhatsApp messages; the message text and the recipient’s number are sent.
- AI provider (Anthropic) — only when you use AI bill scanning or the AI assistant; the bill image or the question and the related summary are sent to produce the answer. The free bill scan runs on your own device and sends nothing to an AI provider.
- GST lookup provider — only the GSTIN you type, to fill the name and address.
We share data with government authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Business data stays while your account is active. After an account ends, we keep it for 90 days so you can come back or download it, then delete it from live systems; backups are overwritten within a further 30 days. Invoices and payment records for packages are kept for 8 years as required by tax law.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Sign-in uses a one-time email code. Each business sees only its own data, staff see only what their role allows, and important actions are recorded in an audit trail. Connections use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
You can see and correct your details in the Service, download your business data in Excel, and ask us to delete your account. You can withdraw consent for optional messages at any time. To use these rights, or to raise a complaint, write to our Grievance Officer below. We reply within 30 days.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. We do not use advertising cookies.
